In 2018, Nihon Falcom launched the final installment of the Cold Steel tetralogy in Japan first. Diehard fans of the Trails series had to wait long and hard before they could finally play The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 4, which was only released around the world in October 2020.
