Unlike the Thrift Store safe code from the preceding chapter, The Last of Us 2’s auto repair shop combination is not extremely close to the safe, and players that are looking for it should first return to the main street of Hillcrest. From here, fans should enter Pet Boutique, which is found near the liquor store and has a white van in front, and head left to go through a hole in the wall.
When this is done players will find themselves in a restaurant and bar, and they should now take Ellie through the double doors that are along the back wall to enter the kitchen. Fans should then look immediately to their left to find a note taped to the wall, and it is this note (called “Dale’s Combo”) that provides the Hillcrest auto repair shop safe code in TLoU2.
Notably, the Hillcrest safe is just one of a handful of safes to be found in the Seattle Day 2 chapter, and fans are thus advised to keep their eyes peeled for more codes and combinations in The Last of Us 2.
