But before reading on, we should note that this guide will have some mild spoilers for The Last of Us 2 in terms of playable characters and locations players visit. No big plot developments are revealed, but still, anyone that wants to play the game completely blind should probably wait to go Precursor Orb hunting until they’ve finished Last of Us 2’s story.

To find The Last of Us 2’s Precursor Orb and get the Relic of the Sages trophy, players first need to reach Seattle - Day 1: Hostile Territory, which is one of the Abby chapters in the game. There’s a point in this chapter where Abby runs down an alley with businesses on both sides, including one called Jasmine Bakery with some Chinese lettering on its sign. At the end of this alley is a Chinese restaurant with a red sign above its door that has a picture of a wave on it.
Enter this building and go through the door that’s beyond the counter. Head up the stairs and run to the end of the hall to find a door blocked by some furniture. Go prone and crawl underneath the table blocking the way. Kill all of the Clickers and other enemies in this room, and then jump across the gap to the other building. Players will know they are in the right spot because Abby will say “Two down, millions more to go.”
To progress the story, players are supposed to go right and up the stairs. However, if they go left they will find a couple of rooms to loot. The second room has the Jak and Daxter Precursor Orb just sitting on a table in plain sight, ripe for the taking.
The Last of Us 2 is out now, exclusively for PlayStation 4.
